FAQ
What is my session Process?
A. Once your session is booked, we’ll finalize the date, time, location, and any other details that will help bring your ideas together. Most sessions last between 45 and 90 minutes depending on the type of session. After your session, I’ll go through and edit your images before delivering your final gallery online.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
A. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. Session retainers are nonrefundable because your date and time have been reserved specifically for you. When possible, I’m always happy to work with you to find another available date.
What happens if there is bad weather?
A. For outdoor sessions, I always recommend having a backup date in mind. If rain, severe weather, or other conditions make it difficult or unsafe to photograph, we’ll work together to reschedule your session.
Do I offer refunds?
A. Session retainers are nonrefundable. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out and we can talk through the options available for your session. If unavailable for reschedule, you will be offered a credit that could be used for any type of session through EJR Photography.
How many photos will I receive?
A. I don’t limit your final gallery to a set number of images. You’ll receive all of the final edited photographs from your session that I feel best represent your gallery and or based off your own selection.
Do you require a deposit?
A. Yes. A $50 nonrefundable retainer is required to secure portrait, senior, grad, couple, family, and maternity sessions. This goes toward the total cost of your session. Wedding retainers and payment schedules are outlined separately in the wedding contract.
Where are you based, and do you travel?
A. I’m based in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and am available to travel throughout Michigan and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on the location, so feel free to reach out if you have somewhere specific in mind.
When will we receive our photos?
A. Portrait and lifestyle galleries are typically delivered within two to four weeks after your session. Turnaround time may vary during busier periods, but I’ll always keep you updated if I expect a delay.
Wedding photography follows the delivery timeline outlined in your contract.
How long have I been doing photography?
A. I’ve been doing photography since my sophomore year of high school and continued developing my work through college, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Grand Valley State University in July 2026.
What is my end goal with photography?
A. My goal is to build a career in sports photography while continuing to grow my freelance photography business.
